With the change of plan from the previous page, a new back-plate needed to be made as well.



Attention was then turned to the drive side. Here, a slot loading DVD-RW optical drive, 3.5in hard drive, an SSD and a 2.5in laptop hard drive were to be mounted, so brackets had to be made to hold everything in place.



Then, because the chassis would no longer be sliding, some feet had to be designed and made instead. This was a period of trial and error until I arrived at a solution I was happy with.



I couldn't see a way to make the pads myself, so a colleague at work turned them for me. It's great to have capable and helpful friends!
